Cooking time: 6 hours
Serves 8
 
Ingredients:
 
680g (1 ½ lb) stew meat, cubed
950ml (33 fl oz) beef broth, gluten free
450g (1 lb) white potatoes, peeled and roughly chopped
225g (8 oz) mushrooms, quartered
2 stalks celery sticks, roughly chopped
2 carrots, roughly chopped
1 onion, finely chopped
65g (2 oz) frozen peas
30g (1 oz) all-purpose flour, gluten free
3 tbsp tomato paste
1 tbsp of Worcestershire sauce, gluten free
3 cloves garlic, minced
¾ tsp dry thyme
1 bay leaf
Black pepper and salt

Recipe:
​
1/ Combine all the ingredients except for the flour and peas in the slow cooker pot, covering it and cook on low for 6 hours.
2/ When the time is up, ladle some broth into a bowl and whisk in the flour then stir back into the slow cooker.
3/ Cover the pot and cook for a further 30 minutes on low, then add the peas, leaving to stew for a further 8 minutes.
4/ Serve warm.
