Ingredients:
6 chicken thighs
1 tin mandarin orange segments in their juice
2 tbsp fish sauce
1 tbsp Chinese five spice powder
1 tbsp minced ginger
1 tbsp lime juice
1 tbsp granulated sugar
1 tsp minced garlic
1 tsp sesame oil
1/2 tsp sliced red chilies
Black pepper and salt to season
Recipe:
1/ Season the chicken thighs and rub them with Chinese spices powder and sear in a heated skillet for 3 minutes on both sides.
2/ Transfer them to a slow-cooker.
3/ In a small bowl, mix the other ingredients and pour over the chicken.
4/ Cover and cook for 4 hours on high or 6 hours on low.
5/ Serve the chicken thighs with the sauce and rice.
